About BBQ Buddha
I’ve been around the food business all my life. At an early age I’d spend endless hours at my grandfather’s farm where he gifted me an appreciation for hard work and honest good food. In my 20+ years in the business, I’ve seen them come and go, many losing focus for what is important. I wanted to use my skills to create products made free of additives, artificial flavors and colors–all good for you and your family. It is that promise that guides everything we do at BBQ Buddha.
I also have a passion for barbeque competitions. There’s nothing like being on the front lines going head to head with the best pit- masters to make you want to get better! Those experiences along with countless hours in the test kitchen are what makes BBQ Buddha products so special.
Thanks for your support!

Grilled Center-cut Pork Chops
A delicious dinner
Season the chops with BBQ Buddha Belly rub. Let sit for up to an hour to enhance the flavor. If using a gas grill first brush the grill with olive oil to prevent sticking, preheat on high for 10-15 minutes with the lid down. This method of cooking works best with steaks that are 1 inch or thicker. Scrape the grill clean with a grill brush, leave one side on high and adjust the other side to medium heat. The key to not overcooking a thick pork chop is to sear the chop on both sides. On the high temperature sear the chops about 2-3 minutes on each side with the lid down. Once the chops are browned on both sides, slide them to the cooler part of the grill, continue grilling with the lid down to the desired doneness. For maximum flavor and tenderness cook to medium (145-150 degrees), anything more when grilling pork chops will begin to dry out the chops. Serve with your favorite vegetable, a sweet potato and some BBQ Buddha Memphis Mop on the side for dipping!
- 4 thick center-cut pork chops
- 2 T BBQ Buddha Belly Rub
- 1 T olive oil
- BBQ Buddha Memphis Mop • for dipping

Pulled Pork BBQ

Prepared in the oven
Wash the Boston butt under cold running water, pat dry with paper towels. Trim away any excess fat or loose pieces. Do not remove the bottom “fat cap” completely. Sprinkle a light to medium layer of BBQ Buddha Belly Rub all over the meat, pat it into the meat with your fingers. Wrap securely in plastic wrap for 3-4 hours or as long as overnight.Preheat oven to 450º. Remove meat from refrigerator and remove the plastic wrap. Place meat in foil lined shallow roasting pan and place in oven. Roast Pork for an hour, then remove from oven.Reduce the oven temperature to 325°. Pour apple juice over the roast and sprinkle the chopped garlic over the juice. Cover the roasting pan tightly with foil, return to the oven, and roast for about 3 1/2 to 4 hours, or until the pork is very tender and easy to shred with a forkRemove the pork from the liquids, shred, and serve with BBQ Buddha BBq Sauce. If desired mix about 1 cup of the bb q sauce into the shredded pork and serve hot from a slow cooker or chafing dish. Serve with hamburger buns or rolls, coleslaw for topping, and reserved barbecue sauce.

- 5-6 lbs BBQ Buddha Belly Rub to coat meat (about 1/2 C)
- 1 C apple juice
- 4 cloves garlic, coarsely chopped
- 1 Bottle BBQ Buddha Memphis Mop
